Progress Report

Most of you have heard the saying "No news is good news"; that's how this blog is. Slow and steady progression. All the rough-ins are done and signed off, and sheet rock is still being installed. New PA speakers arrived yesterday - Electro Voice model # ELX215.

Another Milestone

The Mighty Men of Valor have reached another milestone. The AC system is installed and operational. This feat was accomplished by sheer Holy Ghost power and a lot of sweat. Secondary to this accomplishment was running concealed sound system wiring from the platform to the sound booth. And..... the fellowship hall walls are getting sheetrock installed while the sheetrock in the sanctuary is getting finished. Sanctuary lighting is in and lighting at the platform is in work. It won't be long....

More work is accomplished. The second set of stairs at the front of the platform are done, only the left side to do. The sheet rock has been started in the sound booth.

Some of use took the day off from construction to attend the 2 year anniversary at ALC of Live Oak. Awesome service and great fellowship after service. A side benefit was to hear how good sound equipment should sound in a large venue. That location mimics our own open style sanctuary. Anyway, a couple of the guys continued hanging sheet rock..... The main walls that you see are about 14 feet tall and the sound booth floor decking is complete. The added insulation is for sound control purposes.
