Construction Moves Forward

The saints at ALC of Navarre continue to move this project forward. Our Lord, Jesus gives us the strength to keep moving with this physically demanding job. The platform decking is done, steps are being constructed to make access easier. Other work continues on insulating the walls, installing drywall and decking the sound booth. I'll have more photos at a later date. We do need your financial support, our goal is to not use credit. Please help with your tax deductible donation from our GoFundMe link on the church main page. Thank you for your support.

More Progress

The men did some more work last night on the platform and insulating the walls. The cut out area is where two steps will be added. This is going to be awesome when it is finished.

I forgot to get photos of the AC ducting in the fellowship area. It was done some time back.

It's Happening

It really is happening..... Permits have been issued (framing, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical) and work is progressing. So much work is now done that county inspections and sign-offs have been completed for the plumbing and electrical. Framing needs to be reinspected because of insulation that was not installed. Hooray.......

Pastor called a work night for Tuesday (yesterday) and although it doesn't appear like much got done, there were some milestone items that did. The pad for the outside air handler is framed and ready for concrete, the platform subflooring was started and the sound room was cleaned out in prep for the subfloor. A couple of the men got the last bit of insulation installed for the framing inspection. The ladies did a superb job of cleaning up the men's messes. It was a good night.

Updates

NEW BUILDING

The Santa Rosa Building Deprtment is still putting road blocks in the way - we still do not have a building permit! This has been going on for about a year now. They are now asking for some of the same documents that we gave them last month. Belzebub is surely up to his tricks in Navarre, FL.

WEB SITE

There has been a lot of back and forth emails with VistaPrint. Once again they have said to call them.I can do that; but like the Santa Rosa County Building Deprtment there comes a point where you just have to stand your ground and say enough is enough. We are searching for a new web host.... Meanwhile, I tried the YouTube method of creating a video to embed the audio sermons. I created one for the Bro Sanchez sermon called Faith. This audio is 1 hour, 26 minutes long. It took 1:49 to create and upload. Only 21 more to do...... Uploading an mp3 was so much easier and faster. Anybody got any other ideas?

STUFF

It has been a while since posting anything. Here's the lastest updates on stuff.....

The Ladies of ALC are having a Christmas Party is on Dec 12 at Logan's Roadhouse in FWB, and on the same day, the Sunday School Dept is having the kids for Goofy Golf in FWB, then the evening will be filled with fun and games at the church.

The church Christmas party will be held at Red Lobster in FWB on Dec 19th.

The church website is having some difficulties. We can no longer post photos, videos or audios. We are working with VistaPrint to resolve the issues. They claim that we have unlimited web storage space but the error messages we get say that we have reached our quota, or that the media upload exceeds the limit.

Last, but most important is the new building. We are hopeful that a permit will be issued soon. There has been much back and forth with the county, and we think that all concerns are resolved.
