NEW BUILDING
The Santa Rosa Building Deprtment is still putting road blocks in the way - we still do not have a building permit! This has been going on for about a year now. They are now asking for some of the same documents that we gave them last month. Belzebub is surely up to his tricks in Navarre, FL.
WEB SITE
There has been a lot of back and forth emails with VistaPrint. Once again they have said to call them.I can do that; but like the Santa Rosa County Building Deprtment there comes a point where you just have to stand your ground and say enough is enough. We are searching for a new web host.... Meanwhile, I tried the YouTube method of creating a video to embed the audio sermons. I created one for the Bro Sanchez sermon called Faith. This audio is 1 hour, 26 minutes long. It took 1:49 to create and upload. Only 21 more to do...... Uploading an mp3 was so much easier and faster. Anybody got any other ideas?

STUFF
It has been a while since posting anything. Here's the lastest updates on stuff.....
The Ladies of ALC are having a Christmas Party is on Dec 12 at Logan's Roadhouse in FWB, and on the same day, the Sunday School Dept is having the kids for Goofy Golf in FWB, then the evening will be filled with fun and games at the church.
The church Christmas party will be held at Red Lobster in FWB on Dec 19th.
The church website is having some difficulties. We can no longer post photos, videos or audios. We are working with VistaPrint to resolve the issues. They claim that we have unlimited web storage space but the error messages we get say that we have reached our quota, or that the media upload exceeds the limit.
Last, but most important is the new building. We are hopeful that a permit will be issued soon. There has been much back and forth with the county, and we think that all concerns are resolved.

YourListen.com .......
YourListen.com seemed like a great place to post our audio sermons. The site was a free host that let anyone with an account download the audio. Also the site let us post to our Facebook page. This was very convenient. But; things happen that change the relationship. Somehow, some way a very inappropriate audio was inserted at the front end of one sermon. Because there was an attack on our "page" I felt it necessary to delete the whole page and in fact deleted the account. Of particular note is that in the year or so that this site hosted our downloadable sermons, only 2 were downloaded. If anyone has knowledge of how we may securely provide the download service, please let me know. If it helps one person find Jesus, it will be work the effort. God Bless you all.

Don't Blink
Time really does fly by. I can't believe it was in May for the last blog post.

We recently celebrated Sister Kallam's birthday. Some of the photos are posted here and some of Facebook. We were blessed to have her Mother, Sister and Aunt with us during this celebration.

Listen to the latest preaching. Our home site has all the audio sermons on line and available for you to hear. There is also a link to Yourlisten.com where you can download the mp3. These audio files have the praise and worship edited out, so you only hear the sermon. The complete service is archived and available for viewing at our Livestream channel.Our YouTube channel has a lot of older video and short clips. Check them out also.

Progress?
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
At times during any construction project it slows to what appears to be a snails pace. That space in time where only minor things get done, that space in time where you walk in and say "why isn't the sheet rock on the walls? Why aren't there a couple dozen busy bodies running around."
This is the normal course of events - the "dead zone" if you will. But, alas all is not dead, what's that I hear upstairs? It is a few of the men working on the Pastor's office.The photos are Deacons Sims and Davila. I also know that Bro Adam was there and maybe even Bro Bryan.
This going on upstairs, while some of the ladies were downstirs doing things. Sorry ladies, I didn't take any photos.
All the plans have been finalized and the general contractor will be submitting them to the county for permitting, then we can really get moving.
MEDIA, NETWORK AND INTERNET UPDATE
The wireless internet system at the "old church" is up and running again with full functionality. I am so glad; that means my iPad bible works like it should and the HVAC smart phone interface is again useable.
I wish I was a networking guru. I still am having problems with the security system internet connection and port forwarding. Someone with networking experience will have to make it work (or walk me through it) for live viewing. Just so everyone knows, the security system is recording 24/7....
I am not a real big fan of "social media", but in this day and age it is almost necessary. I now know what I was doing wrong with posting the audio sermons on facebook and have fixed that. Live Stream - Again
Live stream is fixed! We still have a problem with the wireless, but I haredwired the livestream computer.

Live Stream - unfortunately we will not be using this service for a time. Our internet connection is in the process of a change over. The DSL is gone and cable is in its place; but..... apparently the technician did not set up the router to broadcast the SSID for wireless access.
